Installation Instructions

For Grass, Bitumen, Road Base, etc.
Installation is easy. First, check the existence of utility services. Then, locate the Line-O-Dot® in the desired position and simply hammer in using a galvanised fixing peg (supplied). If the substrate is too dense causing the fixing peg to bend, you may use a plumber's prick punch or similar to a depth of 50mm to create a pilot hole (Diagram A). To prevent damaging the Line-O-Dot® marker, we suggest you use a second peg as a counter sinking tool (Diagram B).

For Concrete and Other Hard Surfaces
There are a variety of choices when using Line-O-Dot® on concrete and other similar hard surfaces. The choice can vary from a rawl plug and screw to a sleeve anchor type fixing (not supplied). Typical size: 6.5mm x 40mm. NOTE: Galvanised fixing peg is not suitable for use on concrete surfaces.

Use a Chalked string line to assist with setting out.

Preparing the Surface and Setting Out
The standard bay size is 2.5m X 5.5m (at 90 degrees) with an aisle of 6m. We suggest that a chalked string line be used to set out the area as shown in the image above. Using a small hand broom, sweep away loose gravel etc. to the precise position of each marker, to allow the Line-O-Dot® to sit flat on the surface.
